Jordan: Sunset over Dead Sea
The Dead Sea has so much salt that you can't put your face into the water at all without it stinging your eyes. As advertised, you immediately float to the top of the sea due to its salt density. Geographically, the Dead Sea sits between Israel and Jordan. We visited on the Jordan side, and below is a photo of the sunset over the Dead Sea.

Jordan: Jerash
Jerash is apparently the "Pompeii of the East" and is a really well-preserved Greco-Roman city that is very much off the beaten path and not filled of tourists.

Jordan: Roman Theater in downtown Amman
In the center of downtown Amman, a Roman theater has been preserved from the 2nd century. In the 2nd century, Amman was called Philadelphia.
