Three beautiful red-brick homes in Ballsbridge in Dublin 4, Ireland at Christmas time.  

Austria: Christmas Markets in Vienna

The Christmas Markets in Vienna are well-known for their Christmasy atmosphere and mulled wine.  I used the visit with my mother to use my newer lens to take some interesting photos of all the Christmas ornaments and decorations.  Very Christmasy!

Russia: Moskva River

The Moskva River at night, with St Basil's and the Kremlin in the background.  I was lucky to be staying in the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski, which was on the River Moskva.  In the latter shot, there's a dinner cruise floating along the river, which adds a nice pop of color and reflection in the river to break-up the red of the background.

The Kremlin in Russia.  It was clearly just on the verge of starting to snow, which was the first heavy snowfall in Moscow this winter.  The color red of the Kremlin and Red Square really popped next to the dull white sky.  

Russia: Stop signs are more fun in Russian

Stop signs.... either with moving cars or with St Basil's in the background are much more fun when they are in cyrillic... and you're learning how to use your camera!  

Russia: Red Square at night

The sky was incredibly eerie in Red Square, which made for the perfect backdrop for the Kremlin and St Basil's Cathedral in Red Square.  The eerie sky was because it was the night before the first big snowfall in Moscow this winter.  

Russia: The Old + The New in Red Square

With this photo, I tried to capture how Louis Vuitton was being sold right next-door to the old and beautiful Kazan Cathedral in Red Square.  Talk about the old and the new being together!

Russia: GUM in Red Square

I ate in this restaurant a few times on both of my trips to Moscow, as it has communist style help-yourself food.  I always choose it because it is incredibly reasonable for being right within the GUM in Moscow right in Red Square.  I love this photo because of the cyrillic writing, which always makes regular signs more interesting plus the beautiful backdrop of the GUM.







 These are more photos inside the GUM.  It was great to see the GUM decorated for the upcoming holidays.  In Russia, New Years is bigger than Christmas, and most of the signs are around Happy New Year.  The snowflakes they had displayed the GUM were incredibly elegant and unexpected.
