Boston: Train tracks over the Charles

Along the Charles River in Boston lies an old and unused train tracks that is filled with graffiti.  Its an interesting disposition to the neighbouring city skyline of the perfectly manicured city of Boston.

Cape Cod: Herring Run

In early April, there are a few weeks where the herring swim upstream in the river to spawn.  During this period, you can go to Herring Run at Stony Brook in Brewster, MA and see the water completely saturated with herring, and you can watch them try to jump upstream.  Its quite the spectacle to go and watch.

The first photo is a message to all the people who have come to watch the herring.  In the next two photos, you can see that the seagulls clearly did not adhere to the rules and use the herring, unfortunately, as their dinner until an old woman comes along swinging her cane to scare away the seagulls.

Cape Cod: Scargo Lake

Scargo Lake has one of the town of Dennis's small and scenic beaches.  On this clear day in April, the lake was still getting over being frozen, and there were only two souls on the beach.

Cape Cod: The jetty in Dennis

Below are a few photos of the jetty at the end of Cold Storage beach in Dennis in Cape Cod.  You can walk out on the rocks of the jetty to the end and see all the beautiful homes that line the beach.  The jetty guards Sesuit Harbor, where many boats are parked.  This day was very clear with blue skies.

Sally sells seashells by the sea shore.  Below is a photo of the shells that are right at the shore line of the beach in Cape Cod as the tide was coming in.

Cape Cod: Cold Storage Beach

On a cold day in Cape Cod, not many people were on the beach in early April.  It still was bright and sunny, as you can see below of Cold Storage Beach in Dennis, MA.
