Texas: Blue Grosbeaks

Female Blue Grosbeaks don't have the bright color of the males, but their oversized silver bill makes them easy to recognize. Common in South Texas brush country, they're often found quietly foraging among mesquite and thornscrub while the more colorful males steal the attention.
