Texas: South Texas thrasher

A thrasher in South Texas feels perfectly matched to the landscape — long-tailed, quick-moving, and usually slipping through the thorny brush before you get a good look at it. They spend much of their time foraging on the ground, which the thrasher at the bottom is doing in building his nest.
