Washington DC: Jefferson Memorial

The Jefferson Memorial overlooks the Tidal Basin and is a walk that bit further from the rest of the mall as it requires walking around the Tidal Basin.  But as there are the MLK memorial and FDR memorial on the way around the Tidal Basin, it is well worth the visit!

Below are some photos of the Jefferson Memorial from a bright evening in April.

Virginia: The lambs of Williamsburg

In addition to being a colonial town, early April in Williamsburg is also lamb-season!  The town is filled with patches of grasslands for the lambs to roam with the sheep.  Below are some photos of the very photogenic lambs.

Virginia: Colonial Williamsburg in the Revolution

In Colonial Williamsburg, actors dress up and re-enact what life was like in the times of colonial life,  Below are photos of the re-enactment of what it was like during the revolution.

Virginia: Colonial Williamsburg

On a cold April day, we visited Colonial Williamsburg for the first time to see the living history museum that is the walking part of the city.  In the city, people dress in period costumes from when Williamsburg was the capitol of the Colony of Virginia.

Washington DC: Just missed the cherry blossoms!

Having been away during the peak cherry blossom week, I caught them the next week and unfortunately did not see them in full bloom.  I guess there's always next year!
