NYC: The Mitzvah Tank
Apparently, Mitzvah Tanks are a thing in New York... since the 1970s. Who knew? Not this native New Yorker. Apparently they are commonly used around NYC as a way for the Orthodox Jewish community to do outreach to the larger Jewish community. They are used as "mini synagogue", which apparently can be shortened to simply a "minagogue". I spotted this one on Fifth Avenue right across the street from the Plaza Hotel and Central Park. Well, by spotted it, it was hard to miss as it had speakers that were loudly playing traditional Jewish music.
NYC: Horse and Buggies in Central Park
There are still 68 horse-drawn carriages that can be hired to go for a ride through Central Park and the surrounding area.
NYC: Trump Tower
Whatever you think of the man, a very elaborate building sits on Fifth Avenue bearing his name that is open for the public to stroll into that also services as residences. Its a landmark in NYC and has been before he even entered politics.
