Hawaii Volcano Park: Where lava meets the sea....
At the edge of the volcano park is where the lava finally meets the sea. It had flown down from all of the volcanoes in the park during various years in history, the most recent being in the last ten years. Below are photos from the edge of the volcano park, the area where the lava has met the sea.
The cliffs of lava into the sea:
The famous "Sea Arch" where the waves and wind have formed an arch in the lava:
A row of palm trees growing among the lava, somehow:
The road that once allowed to drive through the area, now covered by lava:
The sign that the road was closed, which now has been covered with lava:
Scenic area of where the hills of lava meet the sea:

Hawaii: Rainforest on Big Isle
The East Coast of the Big Island is the rainy-est part of the Big Island, where it rains about 300 days a year. On the East Coast is some beautiful scenery and landscapes because of how much rain the plants and trees get. Parts of this area are considered to be rainforest where you can smell that distinctly rainforest smell.
Below are some photos from the rainforest and botanical gardens from the Big Island's East Coast.

Hawaii: Pololu Valley on the Big Island
The North side of the Big Island is where the surfers go to surf because of its strong winds. Pololu Valley is a hike through trees down the mountainous terrain to be lead to a black-stone beach at the bottom that is a surfers paradise. The remoteness of the spot adds to the breathtaking scenery and its a highly recommended stop-off if you're visiting the Big Island.

Hawaii: Kohala Coast on the Big Island
When arriving at Kona airport, you really feel like you're in Hawaii now. Its isolated and quiet. The airport is an outdoor airport. When driving from the airport, you are amongst the lava fields and see mountaineous terrain around you. The long journey to Hawaii now seems worth it.
Below are three photos from one beachy lagoon on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island. As you can see, its cloudy and unpredictable. But its still totally relaxing.

Hawaii: Waikiki from Diamond Head
After a six hour flight from Los Angeles, you arrive in Honolulu, the capital of the state of Hawaii, where I would be spending the next two weeks and also trying out my new wide-angle lens I bought for the occasion. I'm hoping the lens will allow me to capture the scenery even better!
A couple miles down from all the hustle and bustle of maddening Waikiki lies Diamond Head, which is a crater next to the sea that is a state park with hiking trials if you want to take a break from the beach to climb to its summit. Below is a photo of Waikiki from the summit of Diamond Head. As you can see, the view is well worth the sweat to get to the summit.
